There is a faithful way to face our unfaithfulness
There are consequences of our sin (15:13-29)​
There is lament and repentance for sin (15:13-37)​
There is acceptance of God’s will (16:1-14)​​

We cannot distort God's wisdom and love others well
We can be lovingly foolish (14:1-24)​
Our loving foolishness breeds fake reconciliation (14:25-33)​
Fake reconciliation can bring real problems (15:1-12)​

Without God, sin only spreads. 
Our sin is malignant (2 Sam. 13:1-22)​
Our sin metastasizes (2 Sam. 13:23-38)

God is merciful to bring us to repentance
God graciously confronts our sin (2 Sam. 12:1-15)​
God graciously hands us over to our consequences (v. 24-31)​
God can graciously bring restoration (v. 24-31)​

Jesus is the better husband, who gives Himself to purify His bride​
David’s sin displayed (11:1-5)​
David’s sin hidden (11:6-27)

If we’ve died with Christ, we are raised with Him to live as He would have us live
We are baptized into Christ’s death (Rom. 6:1-4)​
We are united with Christ in His death and resurrection (Rom. 6:5-11)​
We are under grace, not law (Rom. 6:12-14)​

Jesus is the true King... who comes in humility and presides in holiness​
Jesus comes to Jerusalem like a Son of David (Mt. 21:1-11)​
Jesus enters the temple as a greater Son of David (Mt. 21:12-17)

We reject Jesus' covenant love to our own ruin... ​
We embrace God's goodness to our preservation
David's faithfulness is rejected (2 Sam. 10:1-5)​
David's mighty men are saved by God's goodness (2 Sam. 10:6-14)​
Israel subjugates its enemies (2 Sam. 10:15-19)
